While studying at Academia Italiana, a fashion academy in Florence, Italy Lauren’s fascination with effortless, innovative style took root. The sophisticated chic and understated elegance found in the dressings and attitude of the European women Lauren encountered inspired her own signature style, and guided her in discovering a passion for aesthetics. Degrees in Fashion Promotion and the Italian language from Texas Christian University lead her to fashion mega-giants like Nordstrom and Calvin Klein where she worked as a couture stylist. Perks of the job included access to garments created by the most highly regarded designers in the world, and her talent in exchanging and rearranging styles, color, accessories and trends was noticed by her clients and employers alike.
In 2006, marriage took her to the Dallas suburbs where Lauren worked as a makeup artist at small apothecary on the local downtown square. As the daughter of an artist, exposure to color and brush technique at an early age made this newfound career an excellent fit. However, Lauren quickly came to realize how many women have the desire to look and dress differently, yet have no idea how to accomplish it. Lauren knew her expertise as a stylist and wardrobe consultant was needed.
Today Lauren publishes a lifestlye blog, The Art of Living Beautifully, where she frequently writes about her favorite trends and multiple ways to wear statement pieces. She also works as a Stylist for Stella and Dot, the jewelry and accessories company that took the US by storm in 2004.
“A few key pieces, a knowledge of color relationship, and knowing how to dress for your age and body type are the keys to creating a verstile, chic wardrobe and personal style. Ask for help if you need it. Everyone deserves to love how they look! ” –Lauren Palmer
