Happy Friday McKinney!

I’m not sure if I have ever been as excited as I am today to send out a newsletter. It is looking like September 2017 will go down in my work-life history book as one where I experienced the most excitement–probably coupled with the most anxiety–and stretched myself to outpace creative marathons I never have before.

In case you haven’t yet guessed the reason for the aforementioned emotion, The Art of Living Beautifully’s first magazine is publishing next Wednesday, September 6th. Even as I type those words, the reality of what that actually means hasn’t really resonated. After a full year of prayer regarding the future of this domain, early last spring, the Lord pressed the words digital magazine into my heart, and I hit the ground running to make His plans a reality.

A mere six months later and I have a magazine mock-up on my desk with a highlighter in hand, and I am allowing you to hold me accountable by telling you of it’s publication date. Yes Lauren, people actually have to see it. Let me rephrase that, people actually get to see it! TAOLB mag is a super fun digital publication!!

Other than the launch of TAOLB magazine, September is full of some incredible events I hope all of you will enjoy!

North Texas Giving Day is on September 14th at Finch Park.

The Poppy Exhibit will be showcased at the Heard Craig House this month!

The Grand Opening of Kentucky Street Antiques is tomorrow beginning at 2:00 PM. I hope everyone can make it over to this “real” antique store just two blocks from the McKinney Square…across from The Art House.

Here is a picture of a carved antique horse I took at Kentucky Street Antiques and posted on Instagram a few weeks ago. They have the coolest stuff!

Lastly, Jack Ingram is coming on to McKinney and performing at MPAC on September 30th! Grab your tickets today by clicking here. Stay tuned to the MPAC Instagram feed because yours truly is taking over this month for a fun day on the square to show you all my favorite spots!

Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend and a fantastic September!
