Hello and Happy September to each of you!

So, it’s Fall. The temperature doesn’t feel like it yet, but our excitement involving colorful leaves, pumpkins, scarves and a new color palette for our wardrobes are plenty to keep us inspired until El Niño catches up.

Style Wheel: Speaking of new fall color palettes, I found this swatch on Pinterest and have been a bit obsessed with dreaming up fall looks in these cool-weather colors.

And as STRANGE as it sounds, I’m most excited about…get this…Mustard Seed! I know! It’s such an ugly color, but I am kind of psyched about experimenting with making this color work for me. Call it golden if that makes you feel better, but I honestly think there is a way every person can pull this off in some way, shape or form. Stay tuned…

Sidenote: I’m also loving Turquoise (duh) and Kale!

I am going to change things up a little bit this month on the Style Wheel realm, and focus on a piece of jewelry as your Style Wheel Big Deal instead of an article of clothing. The new Stella & Dot Fall Collection is versatile, unexpected in places and oh so fun! The Stylist in me can’t wait to demonstrate my favorite ways to wear each piece, and of course I’m hoping it will inspire you to branch out this season and embrace not only the jewelry but new fall trends as well!

May I introduce September’s Style Wheel Big Deal…

The Brio Tassel Necklace!

I love this necklace for several reasons:

1.) It adds an updated preppy vibe to any look

2.) There is no clasp. It slips right over your head.

3.) Who doesn’t love a pop of red?

La Cucina: What’s on the menu this month? Well for back to school I’m looking for some simple but delicious side dishes that pair easily with whatever protein Brian has on the grill. Something like my Roasted Vegetable and Spinach Salad or Chilled Citrus Asparagus.

This Psalm has really been on my heart as all the kiddos in my life return to school. James began first grade last week. Caleb begins his last year of pre-k next week. I have one nephew beginning his senior year of high school and the other as a freshman at The Citadel. Praying the Lord counsel all of them as they face the year ahead.

Ins and Outings: My annual Witch’s Brew is coming up on October 8, and I am re-thinking the vibe this year…maybe something along these lines? Check out my Pinterest Inspiration Board for the Brew and send me any ideas! Here are a few pictures I’ve found already:
