Good morning friends!

Today I am reminding you to check our December events calendar for all sorts of fun activities happening in McKinney this month!

I also want you to know that for the first time, Patina Green Home and Market has published a Holiday Gift Guide on their website…and e-shopping is available! This feature is catered to those who want to shop online, and then run into PG for some lunch and to pick up their GIFT WRAPPED presents! You heard me right, if you shop online and come in to pick up your gifts in the store, Patina Green will gift wrap them for FREE! How wonderful is that?? I love that you can do your shopping online while still supporting small, local businesses! Head over to Patina Green Home and Market to shop their holiday gift guide.

Now before I leave, I want to give you some Christmas decor inspiration.

As you know our Home Editor, Misti Reed, has a fantastic eye for home decor…remember the beautiful Christmas tree she decorated for our Holiday Magazine? Well believe it or not her “actual” tree is full of even more whimsy, and her home is a Christmas wonderland for everyone who visits. Enjoy!

welcome to the reed home!

Here Misti added festive ribbon to every day topiaries. This Buffalo check ribbon was the inspiration for all her holiday decor.

Misti kept her entryway simple and elegant by adding gold candlesticks and a few gold Christmas balls to the entry table.

Misti transformed her kitchen hutch by creating colorful vignettes of Christmas knickknacks.

I absolutely love the idea of displaying a homemade gingerbread house on a cake stand for the entire season! Honestly…I may have to copy. Misti found these houses at Target.

Misti’s dining room centerpiece is actually a hanging door swag. She adds bits and pieces to it each year to reflect her current obsession, i.e.: buffalo check ribbon

I absolutely love the (buffalo check!) stockings hanging on the back of the chairs in the living room!

Can you believe how different her “actual” tree looks from the one she styled for the Holiday Magazine?

Misti purchased the mantle garland at Homeology Interiors here in McKinney

For a few of Misti’s decorating tricks, head over to The Art of Living Beautifully Group on Facebook! (This is different from The Art of Living Beautifully page. The group is a really fun community. Come join us!) I’ll be sharing 3 tips today! If you aren’t a member, just request to join the group and I’ll happily add you.

Happy December, friends!
