Good morning McKinney!
Who is ready for a party? It has been almost six months since TAOLB took over Moviehouse & Eatery—remember when we all went to see Bad Mom’s Christmas together–so I was thinking it is just about time for another Girl’s Night Out…but this time, in honor of Mother’s Day…I want you to bring your MOM…or your daughter!!
That’s right! Please join me for a Mother-Daughter pre-screening of Overboard on May 3, 2018 at 7:00 PM! (Be sure to arrive at 6:30 to take advantage of the M&E photobooth and to get your drinks and dinner ordered.) Friends, the original movie starring Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn is an all time favorite for my mom, Sadie, and me. I remember watching it with her in the 90s, talking about how much we loved her fancy swimsuits and hats. The remake stars Anna Faris, but in an unexpected twist, she takes over Kurt Russell’s role and takes advantage of the wealthy yacht owner who refuses to pay her for the manual labor she was hired to do. Grab your ticket and your mama and join us! Friends, I know not everyone’s mother/daughter lives close enough to join us, but we still want you there, so bring a bestie who loves to laugh! Stay tuned to our Facebook Events Page to stay in the know about that evening’s details!

While amping up for the pre-screening of Overboard and sharing this exciting event with friends, you will be especially excited to learn that the Moviehouse & Eatery has been hard at work releasing a new spring menu from their ever-delicious scratch kitchen. I am a big fan of the food at Moviehouse (hello Double Dip Shrimp!!), and friends, this new menu doesn’t disappoint. Here are a few of my favorites spring additions!
How could we talk about food without mentioning the Signature Cocktails at Moviehouse? Now the beer and wine menu doesn’t disappoint. A large selection of both are available at Moviehouse. If I’m in a Red mood, Katherine Goldschmidt cab. If I’m in a beer mood, Blue Moon with an orange on the side. However, if a cocktail is in order, The Movie Mule and Cucumber Strawberry Mojito are fantastic! What are your favorites?
I’m very grateful to the Moviehouse bar for creating a signature cocktail for us the night of the event called The Lifesaver. We’re paying homage to jet-setting vacations and even the May magazine (which has an Italian vibe) with a mixture peach purée, bubbly, a splash of Grand Marnier, and a Luxardo cherry, and is served in a signature Overboard cocktail glass complements of Lionsgate Entertainment. Psssst, they are ours to take home as a party favor too!
Friends our last event sold out very quickly, so be sure to click HERE to purchase your tickets for the pre-screening today! Can’t wait to see you there! You can find Moviehouse & Eatery on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
