I think it was when I opened the Pottery Barn Fall catalog in early September and saw these plaid napkins, that a little plaid seed planted in my brain, and caused me to see plaid everywhere I look.
I saw a girl wearing this wrap on Instagram and tapped twice because I’d like to know from where it came, and was taken to Nordstrom and this gorgeous, reversible blanket/wrap/poncho/scarf thingy. Red, gray and navy tartan on one side, black and white plaid on the other! #Twofer #DoublePrizes.
Here I paired it with a white shirtdress, tights, black Tory Burch wedge boots, and a giant snake embossed belt by L.A.M.B. This wrap is warm and easy to move in because of the cut. There is a large slit part way down the middle to allow easy draping around your neck, arms and shoulders. I also bought one for Coco for an early Christmas present!
I have worn this shirt by Joie over and over again since I bought it three weeks ago–probably to the point where Brian is like, really? Again? The ‘Kariana’ silk blouse pairs well with gray jeans, dark blue jeans or leather leggings, and I have especially loved layering strand after strand of pearls and my Lucie Ellen black bow tie necklace. Lucie Ellen is based in the UK. I ordered my necklace from her Etsy shop, and it arrived in less than 10 days! The necklace was completely in tact thanks to their perfect and beautiful wrapping, and only cost $4 to ship it from the UK to McKinney, Texas!
This shirt by Vince is another cool plaid favorite. The leather trim around the neck dresses up the casualness of plaid, and paired well with my leather leggings. I love the bright red! And don’t worry, it can be worn LONG after Christmas. You will definitely brighten a gray January afternoon with this shirt and a white cashmere scarf!
I may need to ask Santa for a revolving tie rack for Christmas so I can keep up with all the plaid scarves. Here are a few of my favorites:
I paired this red and green scarf with winter white pants, black and white polka dot top, black blazer and red heels.
