I’m linking up with my friend Erika to bring you my top 5 favorites from this week!

first favorite:

Cucina Antica Tuscany Pumpkin Sauce

It’s ba-ack! Cucina Antica makes wonderful cooking sauces, and why not embrace the delicious Fall flavor of pumpkin. I especially love that these are cooking sauces. They are meant to be incorporated into your own recipes, not just heated and dumped on top of pasta. I use it with  Sausage Risotto with sage and Fontina and Farfalle con Zucca e Salsiccia. Both are fantastic as is this sauce! If you are local, it’s actually on sale at Market Street! Wahoo!

second favorite:

Stella and Dot Resilience Cuff

This month is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and that sure does hit home with my family as I’m sure it does with many of you. Please purchase a Resilience Cuff from Stella and Dot. 100% of proceeds this month benefits the Noreen Frasier Foundation. It is a wonderful foundation and such an important cause. You can read my mother’s story here.

third favorite:

my camera!

So I mentioned to you that I saved all my birthday money and bought a new camera…which I got home and had no idea how to use. ISO? Aperture? White Balance? Say what? I don’t know about you, but I get frustrated and discouraged very easily when trying to figure something out by myself. Enter my friend, Emily. Emily is a photographer and we decided to barter our services. She will teach me how to use my camera and I will provide wardrobe consultation and styling. You can read about our morning together on her blog. I’m feeling more confident now and will begin taking all of my food pictures. The picture below is mine. Not too shabby, huh?

fourth favorite:

Did you see my post on Tuesday? 10 TIPS EVERY HOSTESS SHOULD KNOW is such an informative post for this time of year! Everyone is entertaining!

Definitely check out these tips before your next party (My Witch’s Brunch is tomorrow!) and let me know what your favorite tips are. 🙂

fifth favorite:

lunch with James

James asked if I would bring him lunch at school this week. When I asked what he wanted, he said Sonic. When I asked what specifically, he said a hot dog. After throwing up a little bit in my mouth I decided to play along…but picked up Thai food for myself. He was so excited when he saw me and then asked if I would have lunch with him on the first day of every month. Guess I have myself a date!

-ciao for now-
