I wanted to send you a quick little shopping post to use as a guide for any of your upcoming Spring trips. As you know we were in South Padre last week and I love the freedom of wearing by-the-pool clothes again!
Here are a few of my beach favorites!
If you will be embarking on a Pirate Cruise, might I suggest this off-the-shoulder print dress from Target. Sleeves are awesome this time of year, and if you get a little salty water splashed on it, no biggie. It’s less than $25!!! It also comes in several other fun patterns but I love the black and red on this one. I also wore it over dark skinny jeans and wedges before we left when visiting some friends.
FYI: The boys swimsuits and shirts can be found here and here.
For the past few years I’ve purchased these mix and match swimsuits by Mossimo at Target. They have a variety of colors in lots of different fits and styles. My favorite one this year is the Bandeau Top, and Hipster bottom. I like the amount of coverage on the bottoms plus the zero strap lines of the bandeau. Yellow is such a happy color–especially with a tan–and it coordinated beautifully with the Westwood Scarf and Aida Tassel Earring. Yes, I wear dangly earrings to the pool. I always do. I love them. They make me feel just a little bit fabulous. Try it sometime.
I don’t know how or why I didn’t photograph it, but my Getaway Bag in Indigo Ikat never left my side.
I know you can’t really see my clothes in this pic, but that is kind of the drill when you jump out of the car at curbside check in and try to get everyone unloaded before the policeman yells at you. Since you can’t really see I will describe for you this travel uni that is comfortable and stylish and honestly…ready to party. I paired my new ‘I know guacamole is extra’ T shirt with mint skinny jeans and a chambray shirt (#stylewheelbigdeal see here, here and here!!!) The graphic T and colorful jeans are festive–which obviously we are feeling this way when ordering a Cuba Libra on the plane at 8:15 in the AM–plus a long sleeve shirt is a must for chilly airplanes.
Chambray Shirt–old, try any of these
Mint jeans–old, try these
also loving this outfit for travel: Bright Popover top with white jeans. We aren’t traveling in this pic, but here we are with our godson, Wyatt.
White Jeans–mine are old, try any of these
…speaking of the Drape Ear Jacket…
I know I’ve shown you this floral kimono several times already, but I LOVE IT! Anything that is lightweight and has sleeves is really an excellent investment for Spring Break because in many places it is still a bit chilly. I found this one in South Padre last week, but you can get it on Amazon. Wahoo! This little kimono is darling with denim shorts and a tank, but would also be a pretty swimsuit cover up.
Cutoff shorts–old, try these
Whether you are traveling or not this Spring, I would love for you to hashtag any of your favorite Spring ensembles #TAOLB for me to see on Instagram.
I’ll be coming to you from Scottsdale, AZ next week with a different suitcase. Stay tuned and happy travels!
Oh! And don’t forget to come visit me at the Oil and Vinegar at The Shops at Legacy (across from Jaspers) today between 2-4! I’ll be making this along with two other fantastic recipes!
