From the desk of Lauren Palmer
Hello my friends. Today I am excited to bring you a fun post straight from Karadise Boutique showcasing some of the beautiful photos we took a few weeks ago when Kara’s niece—who’s a photographer—was in town from Arizona. I have 3 darling looks to show you starting with the High Expectations Black Jumpsuit.
The details of this romper are truly what make a solid black garment so special. The proportions are balanced with wide, cropped legs and a fitted top. The bodice is smocked, which can stretch and fit all sizes, and the faux-wood button detail creates an elongating look for onlookers…Yes-people will be staring when you wear this out…it’s that cute! This style romper can be worn with flats, heals, and wedges, and a simple denim jacket will help transition this look into fall once cooler weather arrives.
Although relatively casual, the High Expectations Black Jumpsuit can be dressed up or down and worn for a variety of functions:
- With flip flops and this Panama Hat when running errands
- With these wedges and this bag for lunch with friends
- With this blazer at the office
So many funny options!
Next I want to show you this precious Lady Lemon One Shoulder Midi. Might as well book a trip to Tuscany when you buy this dress because it will definitely make you think of Italian summers and tiny glasses of limoncello. Are you not gah-gah over this lemon print? The “fit and flare” style is feminine and flattering, and I love the unexpected one shoulder detail. I’m about 5’6” and this dress hit me just below my knee. Baby showers, luncheons, weddings, date night, travel…whatever special events you have coming up, the Lady Lemon One Shoulder Midi, needs to be with you.
Lastly, I have to show you one of the most precious tops I have ever seen PLUS the name is absolutely adorable! Introducing the Picnics and Pie Sage Checkered Top! Adorable, right?
Friends, the soft colors and gingham check of this blouse are so indicative of a Southern summer, not to mention the soft, billowy sleeves. The blousy cut would be darling with denim shorts, but here I paired it with the Whitney White Frayed High Rise Skinny Jean by KanCan and the Blush Fray Farmers Hat. I always say if you can find a printed shirt you love, BUY IT! Because it immediately elevates your look to appear like you put in a little more effort than was actually required. *A quick note about this hat: I LOVE IT! Y’all, not only is the color beautiful, but the playful fringed edge makes this hat a real attention grabber and protector from the sun. I also love that the brim isn’t so enormous that your vision is blocked.
