From the desk of Lauren Palmer

Hello! And Happy 2020 to each of you!

Today I am excited to share an exciting new direction The Art of Living Beautifully is taking in 2020; a direction that will no doubt bring about tremendous growth, intention, and self-awareness to those of you who follow along with us…and friend, I really hope you will!

Last summer, I published TAOLB’s manifesto in our May Magazine [you can read it here if you haven’t read it before] and in that piece of work, I define the art of living beautifully as building a personal culture. This is the enriching and mindful manner in which we live our lives!

Can we talk about personal culture?

Personal culture is specific to each individual and is inclusive of:

  • How we deal with life’s “pain points”
  • Priorities
  • How we find peace aka “Restore-Me Time”
  • How we interact with and benefit others
  • Products we love
  • How we utilize our talents
  • Creative outlets

It’s the way you live life! Your Personal Culture is developed through nature and nurture. That’s right, it is God-Given! Jeremiah 1:5 says “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”  Friend, He set you apart! He made you different, special, unique, blessed.

Can I tell you how important establishing a personal culture is? When you recognize the life God made you to live, mindfulness, peace, and a strong sense of self are found. PURPOSE is found. Don’t forget the last part of Jeremiah 1:5, “…I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” Friend, you have a mission. We all do! Set yourself up for success and live the life God designed you to live.

This year, The Art of Living Beautifully will be guiding you in the development and utilization of your Personal Culture that will create in you a desire to live present, tangible lives. ( Not digital ones!) The utilization of your Personal Culture puts you in an optimum place to find joy, fulfillment, and purpose, essentially immunizing you from living on autopilot — the ultimate thief of life and joy.

Stay tuned tomorrow for the first step!
