From the desk of Lauren Palmer

Good morning McKinney!

I know all of you saw the beautiful cabana our Home Editor, Ashley Pate, designed for the May magazine using gorgeous indoor/outdoor items from Stein Mart. Today I want to walk you through the exact items we fell in love with and include links for you to shop as well as tell you about a few extra lovelies that are must-haves for your personal cabana! Don’t forget these pretties are available in-store and online.

Wooden Bowls and Trays

Friends, Ashley told us in the magazine that every cabana needs a beautiful wooden bowl of fruit nearby. This 12” bowl is the perfect size to hold all your favorites. The soft wooden color and smooth texture adds to the tranquil environment of your happy place! Grab a wooden tray to match at select stores.

Beautiful lounge seating not only provides a relaxing place to park during the heated hours of the afternoon, but also can provide a fun, tropical aesthetic by hosting a plethora of beautiful pillows. We love them all, but these were our favorites. Stripes | Multi-color pattern.

Cabana Towels and Oversized Baskets

Am I the only one that gets excited about seeing striped cabana towels? Honestly, nothing else says luxury resort like the colorful stripes of a cabana towel rolled up by the pool. Stick them in an oversized basket and enjoy the luxury atmosphere these from Stein Mart bring…plus the prices are always incredible, making them easy to restock every year!

Tropical Scented Candle

In Deanne’s article in the May magazine, she talks about a candle speaking to your senses by reminding you of tropical breezes and ocean air. The S + F Candles from Stein Mart smell spectacular—Pineapple Coconut is my favorite! I also love their frosted glass containers because they remind me of sea glass.

Melamine Dinner Plates and colorful tidbit bowls

Having plates safe to use by the pool is an absolute must at our house, and these Medallion dinner plates are no exception. Super lovely and super easy to clean. For those who can be trusted with breakable things by the pool, be sure to grab some fun tidbit bowls at Stein Mart to hold macadamia nuts, berries, or even one of Lorie’s Pineapple Coconut Granitas! Also loving this and this melamine plate set and I think the kids will too!

Wooden Lantern

When Ashley and I saw this wooden lantern at Stein Mart, both of us fell in love and immediately decided we would need one for our own cabanas! I know not everyone has a pool, but most of us have a little outdoor table, and friends, you need this gorgeous wooden lantern for your outdoor table. It holds a pillar candle (which of course you can also get at Stein Mart) and creates such an elegant, yet tropical setting in your cabana. This lantern truly evokes the feel of the islands!

Table Linens and Napkin Rings

One thing I love about neutral linens is that it allows the food and the atmosphere to be the star of the meal. These white napkins look so crisp against the natural texture of the rattan napkin rings and woven placemats. Is it just me or does the fringe on the edge remind you of a grass skirt?

Garden Stool Side Table

This little upholstered side table was so perfect for the cabana we could hardly believe our luck! (The one pictured is only available in-store but this one is precious too!) Such a perfect little spot for a basket catchall to hold sunscreen, sunglasses, and of course a margarita. (Love these margarita glasses!)

So these are a few of our favorites, but there is so much more when you visit their store including beach bags, sunglasses, swimsuits, sandals and more! We want to thank Stein Mart for graciously allowing us to stock our cabana with their tropical wares. You won’t find items more perfect for the cabana at better prices than at Stein Mart!

Thank you Stein Mart for sponsoring this post.
