So I know you guys won’t believe this, but that time of year is approaching quickly…only 10 more Fridays until Christmas!!!

Last year, I signed the boys up to take their pictures with Santa on the Square and the entire experience was wonderful! First, you get to make a reservation which really takes the pressure off fitting this Christmas tradition into your busy holiday schedule. Plus it is on the downtown McKinney square so before or after your appointment, you can pop into a shop or grab a snack (drink) at one of our fabulous restaurants…Hello Downtown Mule at Rye!

Santa’s workshop was designed by Kaci Lyford of Patina Green. She sourced the majority of the antique/vintage pieces used inside from dealers at The Antique Company Mall in downtown McKinney. Local architect, Matthew Peterson, designed the tiny house and the builder was a local contractor, Kevin Graham.

Each appointment allows the kids 5 minutes in Santa’s workshop to visit with Santa and see all his antique toys. You can choose 1 of two packages: for $30 you will receive (2) 5×7 prints, and for $40 dollars, you will receive the prints plus the digital copies on a flash drive.

The best part about Santa on the Square is that proceeds go directly to Volunteer McKinney! Head over to the Santa on the Square website for details, a photo gallery and even a countdown clock to see how many days/hours/minutes/seconds until Christmas. Press ‘play’ (you’ll see what I mean when you get there!) to listen to Christmas music while browsing and really get in the holiday spirit!

James and Caleb with Santa

This picture was sent in and featured on the Today Show last year in the ‘Meltdowns with Santa’ series. I love that Santa is crying too!

Enjoy this cooler weather, McKinney! I hope the weather and this email prompts you to get excited about the upcoming holidays and schedule your appointment with Santa on the Square!
